Dr. Hoda Aslani was raised in New York and attended SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine dental school. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is in the top 10% of her class. As a result of her academic achievements, she was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She was then selected to attend the University of Pacific Advanced Education in General Residency program, where she furthered her training with exposure to dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. She actively stays current with the latest dental techniques and technology through continuing education.
Having had the privilege of growing up in the diversity of New York and eventually attending dental school in Buffalo, Dr. Aslani decided to escape the cold by moving to San Jose. The welcoming environment and friendly people of California left an undeniable impression on her leading her to choose the Bay area as her new home, where she has been serving her community for 10+ years as a dentist.
She loves dentistry and thrives on the relationships she builds with her patients, from the oldest family members to the littlest! Her goal is to deliver the highest standard of care to every patient and make them feel like members of her dental family.
Her spare time is spent mostly with her husband and two little boys; picnic trips to the park, baking, and dancing around the kitchen island are their favorite hobbies! She also enjoys volunteering through the local dental society to help underserved communities.
Liz is our veteran & friendly office manager. She grew up in sunny California and lived in San Jose for most of her life. Liz started her journey in the dental field as a dental assistant over 16 years ago. She graduated from CCOC as a dental assistant in 2005. Being bilingual, she eventually transitioned to working front office. But you'll still catch her helping out in the back sometimes…old habits are hard to break! While transitioning to working front office, she discovered she thrived in building close relationships with patients. Constantly striving to provide exceptional patient care, she will be your greatest advocate as a patient. Her motto is "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life!" She truly picked the right profession, as working by her side never feels like work!
Liz has a charming daughter and three energetic boys. Her personal time is mainly spent with her family. They enjoy cooking new recipes together and have the occasional tickling match! There's never a dull moment in her house, and it is always filled with laughter.
Karen graduated from Santa Clara ROP Dental Assisting program in 2016. She joined our team at Healthy Smiles Dental Care in 2019. Karen travels from Gilroy to be a part of our team. Our amazing patients and supportive environment make her commute worthwhile!
She was inspired to be in the dental field after her pleasant experience with having braces. She loves working as a dental assistant, and it shows in the way she cares for our patients. She puts in her best work every day and goes out of her way to ensure every patient feels comfortable and safe.
Family is very important to Karen, and she spends a lot of time with them. In her spare time, on the weekends, she enjoys going hiking and kayaking with her family.
